Reyna Mondragon is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and researcher. Her work is focused on the multiple ways one can incorporate rhythm kinesthetically, visually, and musically into dance. Mondragon holds her B.F.A in Dance and a minor in Spanish from the University of North Texas (UNT)and her MFA in Dance from Texas Woman's University (TWU). Currently, Mondragon is part of the Board of Directors, Manager of Community Engagement, and a Dance Behind the Screen Podcast Co-host for kNOwBOX dance (NB). As the Manager of Community Engagement, Mondragon oversees the execution of the kNOwBOX dance events in Dallas, Texas, USA and serves as the virtual liaison with the kNOwBOX dance community to provide NB updates, resources, and dance-related news to facilitate regular contact with NB followers and artists. In 2020, Mondragon co-created mixtamotus, a human digital interface art exploration that utilizes human and machine interaction to offer exciting perspectives, challenge societal norms, and resent what is possible when venturing into the unknown. Her choreographic works have been presented nationally and internationally at Staibb Dance Festival Italy, AT&T Performing Arts Center Elevator Project, Arts Mission Oak Cliff, World Dance Alliance Americas (WDAA), American College Dance Association (ACDA), Big Rig Summer Workshop, Arts Nest Minnesota, {254} dance-fest, Exchange Choreography Festival, and Dance Fusion. Currently, Mondragon performs with mixtamotus and the Jordan Fuchs Dance company. Mondragon is currently a Full Time Lecturer in Dance at the University of North Texas, where she teaches Modern, Music for Dancers, Tap, Pedagogy, Social Dance, Dance Kinesiology, and Choreography II/III.
