Nic McMinn is a Dallas-based theatre artist and educator who is passionate about storytelling and exploring creative ideas with a group of playful artists. Recent directing credits include Plan 9 from Outer Space (Dallas College), Exit Daphne, pursued by a god (Inkspark Theatre Company), Much Ado about Nothing (The Classics Theatre Project), and The Liar (Tarlton State University). Recent acting credits include STORIES (Production Gal) and Gramarye of the Macabre (Inkspark Theatre Company). Recent sound design credits include Silent Sky (sound, scenic), Alice's Adventures Underground (sound), and Squirrel Girl Goes to College (sound), all at Dallas College. He often serves as a production manager and technical director for theatre and dance productions. Nic holds an MFA in Directing from Illinois State University and a BFA in Acting from Baylor University. Nic currently serves as a faculty member at Dallas College, an adjunct faculty member here at UNT, and the Producing Artistic Director and resident designer for Inkspark Theatre Company. He is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union.
