Mr. McKinney comes to UNT from local professional theatre and production shops. He has been working for the past 10 years to support such organizations as The Dallas Opera and The Dallas Theatre Center, Daystar studios, Houston Grand Opera, Boston Lyric Opera and many others. His expertise includes entertainment rigging, CNC programming, stage automation, and metalworking. He was the technical director for the Tony award-winning regional theater, Dallas Theater Center, as well as the technical director for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. He has worked on many large-scale productions and with many Broadway designers and directors.
