Julie Brinker holds an MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Child Drama from Arizona State University. As an adjunct instructor at UNT, she teaches a wide variety of courses, including Theatre Appreciation, Aesthetics of Theatre Worldwide, Theatrical Makeup, Fundamentals of Acting, Voice for Theatre, and Drama in the Classroom. She directed a new play for family audiences, Imagine, at UNT and has directed several plays locally for Theatre Denton. Her play for family audiences, Rachel’s Night, was a winner of the 1990 Bonderman/IUPUI National Youth Playwriting Competition, was published by Brown Bag Press, and has been produced by the Mesa Youth Theatre, several cancer awareness/fundraising groups, and, most recently, the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC.
