Ms. Cooper has taught at the University of North Texas since 1985. She also has taught at A Time to Dance Studio in Corinth, for over 26 years where she has started a new journey with her musician husband, Andy Cooper, teaching Adaptive Dance. She has choreographed and performed at international, regional, and local venues on theatrical stages, conference stages, and in churches. She enjoys collaborating with other artists and has done several projects with Christopher Deane of the UNT music faculty. She hosts the Cecchetti Southwest Committee's Spring Conference at UNT every year. Ms. Cooper is heavily involved with CORPS de Ballet International where she has presented and met with ballet pedagogues from around the world. Ms. Cooper's research area is teaching ballet to modern dancers and to men.
